Terms of Service
Effective Date: February 24th, 2026 and Retroactively on all previous orders.
By submitting payment for any invoice issued by 1 Day Window Treatments, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
Payment of an invoice constitutes acceptance of all terms described below.
Custom Products and Final Sale Policy
All window treatments sold by 1 Day Window Treatments are custom made to order.
Because of the custom nature of our products, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once an order has been placed and payment has been received.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all order details, including sizes, colors, fabrics, and product selections, before submitting payment.
Lead Times and Production
While our company name is 1 Day Window Treatments, most custom window treatments require production time and are not completed in one day.
Typical lead times include:
Roller shades, blinds, and cellular shades: approximately two to three weeks after receipt of payment
Custom drapery and Roman shades: approximately three to four weeks. Production time may vary and will be discussed during consultation.
Lead times are estimates and may vary based on manufacturer schedules, material availability, and shipping conditions. If you have a particularly large order, you may experience longer lead times.
1 Day Window Treatments is not responsible for delays caused by manufacturers, suppliers, shipping carriers, building management requirements, or circumstances beyond our control.
Installation Scheduling
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the installation area is accessible and ready at the scheduled time.
Delays caused by unfinished construction, electrical work, furniture placement, blocked access, or building restrictions may result in rescheduling.
If installation cannot be completed as scheduled due to site conditions or customer related delays, additional service or rescheduling charges may apply.
Certificates of Insurance
Certificates of Insurance can be provided upon request.
Customers must provide a sample Certificate of Insurance and building requirements at the time of payment.
1 Day Window Treatments is not responsible for delays caused by missing or late Certificate of Insurance requests or for requirements imposed by building management.
Third Party Products and Installation
1 Day Window Treatments installs only products purchased through our company.
We do not install blinds, shades, rods, or tracks purchased from other companies or websites.
If a customer chooses to install their own hardware or tracks, 1 Day Window Treatments is not responsible for performance issues, defects, or installation problems related to those products.
Repairs and Warranty Service
Repair services are available only for window treatments purchased through 1 Day Window Treatments.
Manufacturer warranties apply where applicable.
Normal wear and tear, misuse, improper cleaning, or damage caused by third parties is not covered.
Removal of Existing Treatments
Removal of existing window treatments can be provided upon request during installation only.
Removed items will be taken to the building dumpster or designated disposal area when permitted.
If building rules prohibit disposal, the customer is responsible for arranging removal.
1 Day Window Treatments is not responsible for disposal restrictions imposed by building management.
Wall Surfaces and Repairs
Installation of window treatments requires drilling into walls or ceilings.
1 Day Window Treatments is not responsible for:
Patching holes
Painting
Cosmetic wall repairs
Existing wall damage
Customers are responsible for arranging any needed repairs before or after installation.
Consultations
Consultations are provided free of charge.
Consultations are intended to be dedicated solely to 1 Day Window Treatments.
If another window treatment company is present during a scheduled consultation, the appointment may be cancelled.
Light Control and Temperature Disclaimer
Due to variations in window sizes, frame depths, moldings, building construction, and installation surfaces common in New York City properties, 1 Day Window Treatments makes no guarantees regarding complete or total blackout or temperature control.
While our products are designed to improve light reduction, insulation, and privacy, some light gaps and temperature variation are normal and unavoidable depending on the window configuration.
Customers are responsible for discussing light control and insulation expectations during the consultation so appropriate products can be recommended.
Quotes and Pricing
Quotes are valid for six months from the date issued.
Prices may change after the six month period due to material cost changes or availability.
Temporary Shades
Temporary shades may be provided upon request to customers during the production period when applicable.
Temporary shades are provided as a courtesy and may not match final products in appearance or performance.
1 Day Window Treatments will not issue any refunds or credits based on customers satisfaction with temporary shades or failure to receive them.
Limitation of Liability
1 Day Window Treatments is not responsible for delays, damages, or additional costs caused by:
Building management requirements
Elevator restrictions
Certificate of Insurance delays
Construction or renovation delays
Customer scheduling changes
Third party products
Manufacturer delays
Measurement and Manufacturing Tolerances
All window treatments are manufactured within standard industry tolerances.
Minor variations in size, alignment, fabric appearance, and hardware positioning are normal and do not constitute defects.
Small light gaps around shades, blinds, and window treatments are normal and unavoidable depending on the window configuration.
Site Access Requirements
Customers must ensure clear and safe access to windows at the time of installation.
Furniture, decorations, air conditioners, or other obstacles must be moved prior to the installation appointment.
If installation cannot be completed due to blocked access, pets, unsafe conditions, or building restrictions, a return visit may be required.
Installation Conditions
While every effort is made to install products carefully, installation requires drilling into walls or ceilings.
Drilling may result in minor surface cracking or cosmetic damage, particularly in plaster walls or older buildings. These conditions are normal and are not considered installation defects.
1 Day Window Treatments is not responsible for cosmetic wall conditions that occur as a result of standard installation procedures.
Dispute Resolution and Limitation of Claims
By submitting payment for any invoice issued by 1 Day Window Treatments, the customer agrees to resolve any disputes directly with 1 Day Window Treatments before pursuing legal action.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the customer agrees that any claim related to products or services provided by 1 Day Window Treatments shall be limited to the amount paid for the products or services in question.
The customer agrees not to pursue claims for consequential damages, indirect damages, or speculative losses, including but not limited to claims related to delays, temperature control, light control, or personal inconvenience.
